June 23, 2011
There's potential there, and I trust FX more than any other network.
June 23, 2011
Wilfred is rather aggressively offbeat, aimed squarely at an audience whose taste leans toward the more unusual.
June 23, 2011
It's crude and hilarious and clearly aimed at a young male audience.
June 23, 2011
Wilfred often feels as though it's merely trying to provide cheap shocks and occasional laughs, rather than anything more substantial.
June 23, 2011
FX likes comedies with a dark streak, and this one certainly qualifies.
June 23, 2011
Gann can be irresistibly gross at times while Wood is good at being hapless. Together they sometimes make quite a comedy team. Almost as good as Turner & Hooch.
June 23, 2011
It has the potential to grow, but is currently lacking an internal laugh track.
June 23, 2011
He [Wood] is the perfect straight man in this offbeat, surreal, crude, and occasionally touching series
June 23, 2011
Wilfred is intensely vulgar, and only guys around the age of 28 whose ears, and sensibilities, are covered with scar tissue will find nothing offensive. Otherwise, it's very funny.
June 23, 2011
It's a bizarre show that isn't without interest, charm or humor, but which in the end may be a little too much trouble to follow.
