There's no doubt, no faltering, and while courage is a noble virtue, Brenda's implacability doesn't seem all that heroic.

Not funny and full of quips to make us giggle, but a deep seated story digging into the heart of the characters and what makes them tick. Very well done.

By this time, you'd think we'd be tired of [Brenda's] shtick too, but The Closer has retained an amusing, compelling edge.

Sedgwick continues to give one of the best performances on television and is likely doing the best acting work of the summer season
