The Batman - Season 1
A younger Batman, in his mid twenties, defends Gotham from updated versions of his famous foes. From the Joker The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Cluemaster, The Ventriloquist, Scarface, Man-bat, Rupert Thorne and Bane. Season 1 also sees the creation of the villainous Clayface.

The show keeps keen old school bat-fans happy and also appeals to a whole new audience.

The Batman is a remarkably coherent, fun show, with lots of action, great moody sets, and exciting pacing.

The episodes relied heavily on action scenes, and tried to dress up the look of the characters with an edgy redesign that wasn't exactly well executed. It's still watchable, however.

While The Batman never achieved the critical success, or fan following, of its predecessor, it was a great show in its own right for attempting to do something fresh with many familiar characters.
