"Cornered," an action-heavy episode directed by Saul Ruiz and written by Christian Taylor, brings more of the same to The Bad Batch.

Truth to be told, it was a bit of a snoozer. But it hinted there's more at stake than we think when it comes to the Bad Batch soldiers and Omega.

The action is great, with moments that feel like the Bad Batch and Shand are treating the Pantoran city like a Grand Theft Auto game.

If not for its special guest star-The Mandalorian's Ming-Na Wen reprising Fennec Shand-would otherwise be a pretty hum-drum episode of The Bad Batch.

All of this is fine, obviously, if a little light. It's still nice to see Clone Force 99 rallying around Omega, but The Bad Batch season 1, episode 4 lacks a big emotional punch or any wider worldbuilding detail.

The chase through the Pantoran streets and skies is exhilarating, the depth of animation and character quality is incredible and the accompanying music thrilling, which gives hope to seeing other familiar and unfamiliar worlds shown in such superb detail

"Cornered", which was directed by Saul Ruiz and written by Christian Taylor, plays with our emotions even more in an earlier scene where Fennec approaches a lost Omega with a smile and an offer of purloined food.
