Saving Grace - Season 2
A television drama series follows, Grace Hanadarko, a youthful hopeless police criminologist, who addicts alcoholism, has an affair with her partner, a married detective, and has no goal in life, as she does no good thing in her life, but when an angel saves her life to give her another opportunity to adjust her life and unadulterated her wrongdoings. Another season starts with Grace makes her mind to revenge from Father Murphy.

Season Two is considerably easier to swallow than Season One was, however, so one hopes that the trend will continue into Season Three.

No, it's not an easy show to like. But there are humor and sadness and real life. And, better yet, there's Holly Hunter in the role of her life.

A strange feeling came over me when I was watching the Season 2 premiere of Saving Grace. I actually wished that the episode was longer.

Saving Grace is less about its procedural storytelling than it is about simply creating a venue to showcase Hunter's undeniable smallscreen star quality.

It's not a bad show, but the mechanics of how they're going to abduct their latest target are far less engaging than how the team interacts with each other and how each member fights his or her compulsions.

As before, the "big picture" plotlines are often the least convincing, mostly because the trippy angel talk is tough to pull off.

Hunter is just so good and the writing is subtle enough that we're willing to go along for the ride.

This will be good news to people who enjoy watching train wrecks in which the engineer accelerates as the precipice nears, which is Grace's signature move.

I'm still thrown by the "talking to angels" bit, and I think the level of pain in Grace's life rises to the level of overkill at times, but the show is unlike anything else on TV.
