The eighth season returns to a wide range of events, where a member of the Rudy family was killed and another injured while trying to stop the execution. Roddy seeks justice for his men, goes out to a town run by a mayor and a deputy in power, and protects the father and son who fired. On the other hand, Jed persuades Roddy against his good judgment to hire Danny Hawks who is riding expensive souls. Danny proves that he can calm down, but when Nat Benson wants Danny and the stallion to come, Rudy finds himself in trouble.
