Bizarre, inventive, and bold.
June 28, 2012
There can be no doubt that Louie is the best comedy on television.
June 28, 2012
This is a comedy that succeeds by pretty much ignoring any and all "Don't go there" dictums.
June 28, 2012
The series remains smart and thought-provoking but it's also quite funny.

"Are you funny?" Tough question. Louis is, but Louie isn't, which is a matter of this season's risky and rewarding design
June 28, 2012
Louie CK starts his new season the way he ended the last one: a little raunchy, a lot bewildered and a lot funny.
June 28, 2012
This masterful character study of a midlife comedian's melancholy misadventures is pretty marvelous.
June 28, 2012
One of TV's better shows, comedy or drama, because this series often succeeds as both. (But beware, it's not for all viewers-- there's a lot of vulgarity here.)

This was (while not the funniest), the best-directed, acted and most profound of the recent run, and we hope it bodes well for C.K. pushing the show into stranger territory in the second half of the season.

The beauty and bravery of Louie is that he allows us to see him without that armor, as messy and needy as anybody else.
