There are more strong events during the fifth season, with Nate and his team preparing a new and powerful plan for an old car to get a corrupt businessman on Wall Street to break the immunity deal with the government. On the other hand, there is a rich scientist who stole a colleague's work, which may make things more complicated.

I read somewhere that Leverage is too airy a show and that it would do well to rein in its wilder flights of fancy, but I think a show as silly in its bones as this can use all the wild cards it can find in its sleeves.

Even when this series gave us silly, inconsequential cons, the ensemble cast still provided a warm and inviting family atmosphere.
