The drama here explores the relationships Anne Leicester struggles with in her life from home with her family, her servants, her tenants, and even her industrial foes, who will use any dirty tricks they can drop. With all that industrial life, Ann tries to experience at the heart of her relationship with others in a way that is compatible with life.
