Blindspot - Season 1 Episode 08: Persecute Envoys
A mysterious woman is found in Times Square covered in a series of cryptic tattoos… including his name on her back. Her discovery sets off a vast and complex mystery that immediately ignites the attention of the FBI, which begins to follow the road map of her tattoos into a larger conspiracy of crime, while bringing her closer to discovering the truth about her identity. With every passing day, Jane unveils a new skill or a hidden talent without understanding its origin, while Weller is drawn deeper into his troubled, complicated relationship with this enigmatic woman. They both strive to make a connection, unaware of the dangerous blindspot that threatens them.

Blindspot's writing is not ignorant to the complex layering of clues - to a point of silliness - yet somehow it continues to be ignorant to the subtleties of dialogue and character development.

"Persecute Envoys" was another solid episode of this NBC Drama. The show is continuing to hold my attention better than any other new show, and the acting is first class.

Another sort of prescience took over Monday night's episode: The tattoos are also freakishly good at steering the plot toward hot-button real-life issues.

The character development here was on-point, as we finally learned about Mayfair's involvement with Daylight. Not only that, but Jane, Zapata and (to a lesser extent) Patterson had some good bonding time throughout this episode.
