The film tells the story of the 1930s, where the trio of black soul singers Effie, Laurel and Dina managed to experience a different experience in their lives. Both of them seem to be on the verge of discovering what looks like a real dream in their current lives. In the end, everyone realizes that the real cost of goodwill may be bad and unexpected.
