Camping - Season 1
In light of a British TV series that conveys the same name, Camping relates a chain of comic drama stories that pursue Kathryn and her better half Walt who chose to go on a characteristic adventure to observe Walt's 45th birthday celebration. There, things flip around when they assemble with Kathryn's ex-closest companion.

Maybe Camping will be funny to fans of Girls, but mostly it looks down its nose at almost all of its strident-in-their-own-way characters.

The series is grating -- the TV viewing equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. The worst part of all of this is that it's Garner's first regular TV role since Alias ended. Maybe SD-6 is behind the whole thing.

"Camping" delivers an annoying character who is anything but amusing. She made me cringe, yes, but only because I couldn't wait to get away from her to go do my laundry and wash the dishes.

Camping seems to be fixated on showcasing people behaving badly - whether on their own or due to outside influence - without necessarily having a larger point to make.

Camping all in all is less fun than waves of dive-bombing mosquitoes. Hell, even a good ol' baked bean-infused fart-fest around the campfire would be a welcome diversion.

It just wants to make everybody as miserable as possible, while attempting to squeeze in a few laughs... Unfortunately for Dunham and Konner, their latest attempt to enter this dramedy pantheon falls flat.
