The dramatic events of this movie that follow Cate McCall, a professional lawyer , put on probation because of alcoholism and she seeks to take the custody of her daughter, who live with her ex-husband, but now she appointed to be the lawyer of Lacey, who put on death row and accused of killing another woman. Cate does her best and investigate to find later an evidence that prove the innocence of Lacey.
