The Beach
The story tells about that obscure young man named Richard. Richard is a young nicotine addict who likes to travel, as well as a fan of pop culture, video games and Vietnam War movies. On a trip from Richard's trip to a Bangkok hotel, he found a map left by his neighbor, the stranger, who died recently. That map is supposed to lead to a legendary island paradise, but that paradise is filled with the evil spirits that settle there and still control that island. Richard ventures with friends, where everyone makes a trip that is the strangest in their lives and perhaps the most dangerous one.

A narrative that tries to juggle thriller elements, tons of pop culture imagery, and way too much philosophical baggage.
