A delectable piece of French Valentine's Day fluff with charming turns from Ludivine Sagnier and Nicolas Bedos.
February 12, 2014
Love is in the Air is a likeable and uplifting romantic comedy with charming and convincing performances at its heart, but the central story is somewhat predictable and rather implausible.
February 12, 2014
It's hardly Working Title-slick, but Sagnier is appealing in her first real romantic role and there's Gallic charm galore.
February 14, 2014
[A] formulaic romantic comedy.
January 30, 2014
With a snappy score made up of American standards and tons of Gallic spice, "Love" wins us over.
February 17, 2014
There's a charm to this title, in spite of the fact it's an immensely cliched, predictable romance flick that is heavily flawed to say the least.
January 30, 2014
What raises it a notch above the typical slick Hollywood romances are its stars, Ludivine Sagnier and Nicolas Bedos.
February 11, 2014
Not exactly arthouse, but as subtitled fluff goes, we're talking première classe.
February 13, 2014
It's all put across with gusto, but also a fair bit of slightly wince-making cliche, stereotyping and broad comedy. Sagnier deservesa classier vehicle than this.
January 30, 2014
For the most part, Julie and Antoine's six-hour trip feels as tedious as if it had been rerouted and taken days instead.
January 28, 2014
The film all but begs for a remake starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.
August 20, 2016
Caught as it is between mocking romance clichés and investing in them, the film is too up in the air to succeed on either front, as love story or sendup.
