[Writer-director Paolo Virzi] expertly balances tension, hilarity and an emotionally affecting finale that, as with so much in this film, defies expectations.December 29, 2016
A poignant film with deep characters, a good story and direction, and landscapes that are visually the ideal setting for the film. [Full review in Spanish]March 17, 2017
An exciting portrait of two unbalanced and charming female protagonists. [Full review in Spanish]May 15, 2016
A pleasingly warm, human and female take on the subject, shot through with Virzi's customary attention to not only the characters but also the wider socio-political background.April 30, 2017
Restless, at times even chaotic, the film often seems to be replicating the experience of having a manic episode.May 15, 2016
A terrific comedy-drama about two women in a mental institution that avoids the pitfalls such a scenario could encounter and boasts delicious dialogue with a rare sense of balance.May 04, 2017
An energetic, visually attractive but ultimately irritating comedy-drama.March 07, 2017
A buddy movie and a false ode to freedom without much sense that ends up being lost just like the performance of Bruni Tedeschi. [Full review in Spanish]May 03, 2017
Virzì's film ultimately adds up to little more than the tale of two mentally unstable people finally coming to accept their insanity - an awfully thin arc on which to build an overextended road-trip movie.May 03, 2017
Great performances by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Micaela Ramazzotti anchor this commedia al'Italiana-inspired movie.May 11, 2017
A vibrant and compelling look at friendship, freedom and the fine line between sanity and madness.
