Field of Dreams
Son of devoted baseball fan, Ray Kinsella normal farmer lives with his family in their lowa farm. One day he hears voice telling him to build a baseball diamond in his fields . However the expected difficult financial consequences and his skeptical wife doesn't agree him at first but he follows these ethereal messages. His brother advises to replant his field to avoid bankrupt through his crisis the ethereal voice helped him to ease his pain.

The sentimentality, of which there is plenty, is nicely balanced by a humor of ironic pragmatism, as when Ray, having built his baseball field as a monument to human dreams, decides to charge tourists $20 a head to visit it.
