Do You Believe
The dramatic story tells of purely religious feelings, with more than a dozen different souls moving in different directions. Although everything is going well, all things remain complicated as there is a real discovery of a power in the cross of Christ, even if some do not believe it. When a local shepherd shakes his essence through the apparent faith of a religious preacher, he is reminded that true belief always requires action and this is the condition of faith, where his answer triggers a journey full of faith that strongly affects everyone.

More professionally produced and acted than the indiegelical norm, but only fitfully engaging on a dramatic level and entirely hermetic on a theological one.

The cast is a motley mix of the known and unknown, all doing their best to deliver Konzelman and Solomon's awkward sermon, under Jonathan M. Gunn's equally awkward direction.

Crash, but Jesus-y. Scoffers and doubters will get their smackdown, but even believers should be skeptical at how this ridiculous roundrobin plays out.
March 26, 2015
A deranged melodrama where any sense of soapy, campy fun is undercut by the preachy, self-serious tone.
