Chef (2014)
Difference among his inspiration and supervision method of monitoring from his boss, the cook Carl Casper abruptly gives resignation at a well-known restaurant in Los Angeles to look for something new. He makes road trips and eventually finds his personality and passion which reflects perfectly in his cooking.

Favreau isn't trying anything new, whether in the story or presentation of the story, so this is comforting feel-good custard, presented as crème brûlée. Charming in its own way, but not really nouvelle or even novel cuisine.
