Rachel Schmidt was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada and started acting in the theatre at a very young age. Once in university, she was accepted into the University of British Columbia's Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting program. After a few years in the Vancouver acting scene, she took a hiatus, moving to Ottawa to pursue a Master's degree in international affairs. After working in academia for many years, she decided to return to her original passion and pursue a career on screen. Hide
